Minor Football League Sports Development  Internship Program

The MFL seeks diverse candidates to join its hands-on virtual league internship program. Interns have the chance to work with the league headquarters, its 32 franchises and the MFL Foundation. The current internship cycle for the 2025 MFL season runs from January - August. Internships can be completed for academic credit at accredited colleges and universities. 

The league welcomes interns into the following departments in Spring/Summer 2025: Video Production, Graphic Design, Administrative, Football Operations, Public Relations, Marketing/Communications, Editorial, Sales, Sports Medicine, Guest Experiences/Client Services and Community Relations.

Payton Love

Public Relations & Marketing Intern

Payton Love is a passionate senior sports management major at Bowie State University who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the professional sports industry. With a strong interest in player engagement, team culture, and family support, he is excited to join the MFL as an intern. He looks forward to learning from industry professionals and contributing to the organization’s success.


Alaina Norman 

Graphic Design & Marketing Intern

Alaina Norman is a graphic designer from Shreveport, Louisiana. Creativity has always been a big part of her life —whether through design, storytelling, or finding inspiration in the everyday. When she's not working on design projects, she loves writing and exploring new creative outlets.


Steven Merzlak

Graphic Design & Marketing Intern

Steven Merzlak is a graphic designer and graduate of Butler County Community College. His past experience as a freelancer, working with clients such as Sunoco eSports and Snow Belt Management. He demonstrates and reflects a deep passion for sports, art, and design. Steven is truly excited to be a part of the MFL family and cannot wait to make an impact on the league this season.


Elias P. Arianas

Football Operations Intern

Elias Arianas is a recent graduate of Florida International University where he earned his bachelor's in Sports Management along with a minor in marketing. Passionate about seamless event execution and growing sports, he brings fresh energy and passion to every project. Outside of work, you’ll probably find him on the strip fencing.


Elsa Gonzales

Video Production & Digital Intern

Elsa Gonzales is a multimedia creator and Sam Houston State University graduate with a passion for storytelling through video, animation, and social media. With experience at the SHSU Campus Recreation Marketing Team, the Disney College Program, and MAES (a STEM-focused nonprofit), she specializes in producing engaging, purpose-driven content that connects communities and builds brands.


Kevin Dugan 

Video Production & Digital Intern

Kevin Dugan is a graduate of the University of North Florida, earning his bachelor’s degree in communication with a focus in digital video production and a criminal justice minor. Kevin currently works as a podcast producer for Auden's Golf Performance in Jacksonville, Florida. Outside of his professional endeavors, Kevin is a huge fan of esports and hopes to work in the industry one day either in broadcast or with a team.
