Minor Football League CEO/Chairman and Founder Richard D. Myles Sr. joined Rep. Mark Walker (R-N.C.) and Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), to discuss the Student Athlete Equity Act and NCAA Reform. Myles joined roundtable discussion alongside ESPN analyst and former college basketball player Jay Bilas, and former NFL and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) athletes.
The Student-Athlete Equity Act is only one-page long. It simply says that the NCAA can choose between losing their federal tax status or allowing athletes their publicity rights. The NCAA and some dissenters are trying to cast this as “pay to play.”
